Projects and solutions
Every project is a solution to start with – either for the project organization or for a costumer. However during the project executions one problem occurs after the other and the project manager turns into a problem manager.
During the last few years I had the opportunity to get to know the concept of “solution focus” and I have realized that it can be used in any context – even in project management.
The ideas of solution focus are
- to focus on solutions rather than on problems,
- to find all the resources and strengths that are there rather than weaknesses,
- to find out what is working already rather than what is going wrong,
- to look into the future and work with a vision rather than looking back and analyze the past.
“Simple but not easy”
During the next few weeks we will share ideas how “solution focus” can be used in (project) management.
As always we are interesting to find out what you do in order to turn problems into solutions.
